Under the name of ‘Busot Popular Music Choir’, hereinafter ‘The Choir’ or ‘The Association’, an association is constituted by virtue of Organic Law 1/2002, of March 22, regulating the Right of Association and its complementary regulations.

Busot Popular Music Choir, is non-profit.

In general terms, the main aim or aims of the Association are as follows:

1. To form a choir to give the opportunity to all the inhabitants of Busot to sing and enjoy music.

2. To be bilingual (Spanish-English) in all its activities and to sing popular music, both traditional and modern, in both languages.

3. That its membership is open to all, from beginners to advanced singers.

4. To offer two free concerts a year to the public, one of which will be a carol concert.

5. To collaborate with local musicians from Busot.

In addition, the following actions or activities will be carried out for the fulfillment of these aims:

6.  The Choir will meet once a week for 1 hour 30 min of practice, throughout the year.

7.  All members of the Association should be open to improving their singing and, as part of this process, individual or group sessions can be recorded and played back, to assess where improvement might be needed and to check if all members are singing in tune.

8.  Any member who is assessed as singing habitually out of tune will be given extra help to improve.

9. The choir session, will consist of rehearsing and singing two songs, one in Spanish and one in English.

10. The rules and requirements of the Association will be printed out and explained to each member.

11. All choir songbooks will be provided, but members may purchase their own copy at the cost of printing.

12. To sing in public, members must be able to sing in tune.

In addition, consumption of alcohol or attending meetings under the influence of alcohol is not permitted.

Any behavior deemed by the officers of the Association to be antisocial is not permitted.
